How Will This Course Be Delivered?

An Apprenticeship is a real job with training so you can earn a wage while you learn and pick up some qualifications as you go. To achieve your Apprenticeship you will work towards a combination of qualifications which together are awarded as an Apprenticeship Framework. You will work full time, usually around 37 hours a week, of which one day will be attending day release at College.Apprenticeships are designed with employers in the industry, so they offer a structured programme that takes you through the skills you need to do a job well. You will have targets to meet and there will be checks to make sure that your employer is supporting you and you are making good progress.

How Will I Be Assessed?

You will be assessed on your practical abilities in your workplace. Workplace assessments may be observations, professional discussions, interviews or inspections of your work. You will also be required to complete assignments and projects. Some course units are assessed by examinations.

5 GCSEs including Maths and English

What Qualifications Will I Get?

Level 5 Diploma
Level 2 Functional Skills in English, maths and IT (If required)

How Do I Get A Place On The Course?

If you are living in England, are over 16 years-old and do not currently hold a level 4 qualification or above you can apply for an apprenticeship.

What Else Do I Need To Know?

The Level 5 Operational/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship takes around 2.5 years (30 months), but this will depend on your individual ability, prior qualifications and the employer’s training requirements.

Resource management is the efficient and effective development of an organisation’s resources when they are needed.

What is talent management?

Talent management refers to the expectation of the people within the organisation and the planning to ensure everybody maintains it.
